Professor Psaltis is the current president of the ANZRS. He is a Professor at the University of Adelaide has been the Head of Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital since 2014. He has a strong research interest and is the co-director of the Adelaide ENT Research institute. He has over 210 peer-reviewed articles , 20 book chapters and has delivered more than 400 international and national presentations. He sits on the advisory committee of the European Rhinology Society and on the Australian Society of the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery national training board. He is on the editorial board of several leading ENT journals .
